IT'S THE ZERO SITE FOR MOBILE FB USERS

This is planned to aim at mobile users; People behind Facebook will be launching in the coming weeks its Zero site.

The said plan to have the Zero site for mobile users of Facebook could help operators free-up critical bandwidth on their networks. This is due to the recent update of analyst at CCS Insights stating that there are more than 100 million people accessing Facebook on their phone.

The new site will definitely omit data intensive applications like photos. Another reason why this system was develop was due to the revelation by GSM Association that FB is responsible to almost half of all the time people in UK have spent going online through their phones.

At the moment the people at Facebook are discussing the option to make this social networking site, on mobile, more available to anyone anywhere thus encouraging more users.

There's also a slimmed down version of Facebook available to all those with either slow or poor internet connection. Facebook Lite is aimed for users in the developing world. This was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona which run was held from February 15 to 18, 2010.
